Dear Friends:
The First United Methodist Church of Fredonia is a community of faith in Jesus Christ who find our purpose in the Bible, in Wesleyan theology, and in the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church. We welcome people of faith to join us in worship, fellowship, learning, and mission.
We also welcome people who are curious, or questioning, or who don’t have a clue what church is all about. It is our hope that you will find first a place of welcome, and eventually a community of love and a relationship with Jesus Christ.
We are a community within a community. We live and we minister in the community of the village of Fredonia and the city of Dunkirk, as well as the surrounding towns in Chautauqua County. Our congregation comes from all areas of this surrounding community, and our ministry includes reaching out into all those areas. We live in community with the State University of New York at Fredonia. We want to be in fellowship with and in ministry to the students, faculty, and staff of the college. Students of all backgrounds are welcome to join us.
We are located at 25 Church Street, on Barker Commons, (the square in the center of the village) directly across from the gazebo.
We welcome you to our website, and hope to welcome you in our church home very soon.
