The Student Ministries mission statement is:
To encourage the spiritual health of our students by directing them according to the Bible and the FFUMC purpose, vision, and value statements as the Holy Spirit directs.
We are excited about our program for children and youth. Cokesbury's "ROCK SOLID" Sunday school program is being used for nursery through grade 8. Our high school students are using the Book Mark series along with a variety of other materials to meet their needs and questions about their faith.
"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on rock." (Matthew 7:24–25)" This is the premise that our Sunday school curriculum is based on. Each week our children learn Bible stories which help them come to a better understanding of God and what God calls them to do. Age appropriate activities, crafts, stories, music and games are used to help the children come to know Jesus and take his message to heart.
We begin each Sunday at 9:15 A.M.

On Sunday morning our Pre-K through Grade 4 students have an opening time together. This activity is led by Sarah Hennessey our Youth Leader. Our middle and high school students also gather together on the third floor for a time of sharing.
Missions are an important part of our Sunday school program. In the fall our church family participates in Operation Christmas Child. We worked together to pack shoeboxes for children around the world. This year our Sunday school classes are also supporting the education of a nurse in the North Katanga Conference of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our classes are using goal thermometers to keep track of their offerings. A large thermometer is on display in the entry way to the education wing where our combined progress is recorded. Our adult Sunday school classes are helping with this project. It is great to see our combined efforts grow.
Please join our church family on Sunday morning. There is a place for you!
We have a new program called Fredonia First Friends where a child is paired with an adult in the congregation. The purpose is to build relationships in our church family. Monthly activities are held such as sitting with your "friend" in church or shadowing your "friend" to help usher or sing in the choir. Last fall friends carved pumpkins.
Many of the children and adults look forward to VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL in the summer. It is fun joining together with other churches in the community to share God's love. This year VBS will be held on August 17-21. The theme is Crocodile Dock: Where Fearless Kids Shine God's Light. We hope to see you there!
Our YOUTH keep busy with Youth Group on Sunday evenings. This is led by our Youth Leader, Sarah Hennessey. Junior High Youth Group meets from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Our Senior High Youth meet from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
